Pondering God’s intervention of circumstances?

The other day I was pondering this….

Sometimes it is easy to rather flippantly say that everything or anything that happens to us is God’s will for our lives. But then where would prayer fit in? It is true that anything that happens is allowed by God, but if it had been prayed over, brought to His throne and committed to Him would it have occurred in that way? I am not thinking only of bad things but good things as well.

When we continually turn the reins over to God asking Him to order our steps, to take control of our lives and circumstances, specifically bringing before Him the things on our hearts then things happen in His time and not our own. We begin to relinquish control and let God.
