Freedom from the Bondage of Fear, Guilt and Insecurity

20140530-070354.jpgHow many of us struggle with fear, guilt, and insecurity? Probably the majority of us have at some point or still do.

Once we are saved there are Bible verses which confront our fear like 2 Timothy 1:7  ‘For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.’  

I struggled with fear, then I felt guilty for listening to it because I knew that fear was not God’s will for me. And then begins the vicious circle of fear, guilt, insecurity and anger. I was afraid because of bad circumstances of my past, then felt guilty for giving into the feelings of fear, which leads to insecurity in who I am in Christ, and anger that I have not lived up to the perfect Biblical model of a Christian.

What a mess!
